"I've been drawing boxy gradient shapes for years on small pieces of paper. These particular gradients move from a sky blue to magenta creating a transition of violet that stays centered within these shapes. Their floating architecture is held in place by a pattern of vertical bars alternating in shades of grey.
I'm all about edges as transitions from one shape to another. Hard lines divide shapes and soft shifts of color create dynamic space. The patterns and gradients are meant to complement each other as they float along.
This is my first large painting and I hope you enjoy it."
Thank you.
